Join us onboard Ocean Groove Cruises and experience The Prada Cup & America’s Cup right amongst the action in VIP conditions. This years 36th America’s Cup will be held in Auckland across the Waitematā Harbour and Hauraki Gulf, over five race courses depending on weather conditions. Ocean Groove Cruises are registered to offer unique sailing experiences during the 2021 America’s Cup and are offering packaged race day deals, from January 15 2021 to March 21 2021. Our water spectator location will give you the best viewpoint in the city to watch the racing action. For full event information, view the official America’s cup website here. 

Each of our Prada & America’s Cup packages are designed for 30 people, however an additional 20 can be added for a per person fee (see packages below for full details). All package include catering and 3 free drinks per person (excluding cocktails). Each cruise offers:

Payment is required in full at the time of booking in order to secure your booking.

Payment can be made online or by direct bank transfer. Please contact us if you want to use our direct bank transfer option.

All Prada Cup & America’s Cup pricing is GST exclusive.

Our package deals include a $500 refundable security deposit. 

BYO alcohol is not prohibited, but we are licensed to serve your favourite beverages from our fully stocked cocktail bar. 

You are welcome to bring your own food but our Prada and America’s Cup package deals include catering. Please see packages for details. 



Ocean Groove Cruises are surveyed to carry up to 50 people.


In the event of any refund payable to you, the customer. Ocean Groove Cruises reserve the right to charge an administration fee, which is calculated at 20% of the booking total. This fee is to cover time, expenses and administration incurred by us. We may dedudct this 20% fee prior to making a refund to you. 


Cancelled bookings are non-refundable.

Cancelled bookings more than 24 hours prior to scheduled departure can be transferred to another Ocean Groove Cruises product/ service equal or lesser value (subject to availability). No partial refunds will be offered. If transferring to a higher value product, the difference needs to be paid by the customer. 


All racing and race timing is governed by strict weather conditions and other circumstances as set out in the race conditions and can be subject to change at short notice. Therefore, in the event that the America’s Cup Race Committee announce that racing has been cancelled, the following will apply:

If racing is cancelled prior to your boarding time, you will be offered the following options:

Transfer booking to an alternative race date (subject to availability and price changes).

If no alternative race or reserve day is available then a refund of the ticket cost, less the 20% administration fee, will be issued.

If racing is cancelled after departure from the dock, you will enjoy a harbour cruise for the remaining duration of the experience you have booked, along with any catering and drinks (as per the inclusions in your booking).

If we, the operator are forced to cancel your booking for vessel or other circumstances, you will be offered the following options:

Transfer booking to alternative vessel for the same day (subject to availability and price changes)

Transfer booking to an alternative date (subject to availability and price changes)
Full refund

We are happy to supply catering based on all lifestyle and allergy requirements, including vegan meals, gluten free options and dairy alternatives. Therefore, please make us aware of all dietary requirements at the time of booking. 

Our Prada and America’s Cup race day experiences are ready-made package deals that are designed for up to 30 people. Additional guests, up to 50 in total, can be added for additional ticket costs. Please see individual packages for details.

Racing for the PRADA Cup – Challengers Selection Series Semi Finals and Final requires Challengers to achieve a certain number of points in order to win. When this number of points has been reached, any further scheduled race days for that stage of the competition will no longer be required. This is a situation that could apply to the following scheduled race dates:

Prada Cup – Challengers Selection Series Semi-Final (first to 4 points, 7 races) – Races 5-7 (31 Jan, 2 Feb)

Prada Cup – Challengers Selection Series Final (first to 7 points, 13 races) – Races 8-13 (19 Feb, 20 Feb, 21 Feb, 22 Feb)

In the event that the date of your booking is on a scheduled race day that is no longer required, the following conditions will apply:

Transfer booking to an alternative race date (subject to availability and price changes)
If no alternative race or reserve day is available then a refund of the ticket cost, less the 20% administration fee, will be issued.
